3 Years with my 2012 Prius

Post by Lurch »

It's been an amazing little car for me.
It's always ready when I am.
I love it. It's a bit small, but built to last.

Nice. It's nice to see a 2012 still going strong. How many miles on it? Do you drive it a lot?

It's got 120,000 on it now. It had 108,000 when I got it.
So, about 4,000 miles per year is all I drive these days.
I change the oil 2x a year, a lot of around town short trips.
They say the Generation 2 Prius are better than the Gen 3 Prius.
But this is the Prius C (for city), and they say these are more reliable than the Gen 3 Prius sedan of the same era.
These are also the smallest Prius but it's quite roomy inside.

Oh, I not very familiar with them other than a few friends have them and swear by them. I didn't know they made that many different models i.e. "C". Interesting.

I wasn't either until I got this. I had a 2016 Ford Fiesta and after the ignition switch failed, I wanted to go back to foreign cars so I got this.
Soon after getting it, I was afraid I bought a car I'd regret, but the more I learned about it, the better it looked.

They also have the Prius V that's the biggest Prius, and it's like a station wagon.

This is the Generation II Prius (2003-2009), supposedly a better car than the Gen III Prius.
