Autotune Level for high speed Internet

Post by MagikMark »

Hi Philip!

Will you recommend Autotunelevel=experimental for 500Mbps/500Mbps?

Thanks

The "normal" level seems to cope with fast connections just fine, I am on 500 Mbps fiber connection and that's what I use.
I would set it to "experimental" only with 1 Gigabit connections, and it would have to be tested to make sure everything works. In some OSes (Windows 7 for sure, hasn't been tested much with later Windows 10 iterations),"Experimental" caused issues with accessing network shares, Crashplan backups, Outlook accessing mail servers.
Linux is user friendly, it's just picky about its friends...
