Yes, it has been a while...
So, let's hear the details about your user name...

This thread was inspired by Dave, whom you will hear from shortly... ;)
I am Ken, short for Kenneth, my first name.

Recently accquired Stu Grimson, he joined the Nashville Predators last year. He has the image of a true badass. Not to mention I'm a badass too.
:) :D

I just like him because I saw him knock a guy out with one punch in a game when he was with the Kings.
Crackin' skulls and breaking kneecaps.

This is always fun, Ken......

Mine is inspired by gravity and wheels.

I am surrounded by mountians....and ski lifts......which charge a small fee to haul you and your bike to the top of the mountian, all day long. :D

I've even competed a couple of times in the old fart division. It's always good for a medal since there aren’t many older folk around, willing to race.

AAF Striker. Well, back in the day when I played Rainbow Six we were called American Assault Force. That's the AAF part. And the Striker was just somewhat made up. It sounded cool and I was always killing everyone ... so Striker became. But AAF is cool now because it can also be Alien Ant Farm ;) That's about it, my name is not special....

Mine was my nickname is high school and it stuck over the years. They called me beaker after the character from the muppets. I really never fully understood why, but it just grew on me.

I was several posters before I was MadDoctor. A fight broke out between Norm and Lobo so I signed on as a new user called NormsDoctor. After the dispute was settled, Norm PM’d me and asked that I change my name to something other than NormsDoctor [understandable]. Not knowing what to do I picked MadDoctor which brought David (a real doctor) into the mix. He asked if I was a real doctor (I was once with the girl next door when I was 10… she called herself mouse at that time) and I said I was MAD but not a doctor. I agreed not to prescribe Methadone over the Internet and he agreed not to rip my heart out through my kneecap.

brembo-

Italian brake manufacturer....have a set of thier rotors on my car. Uncompromsing quality and dedication to thier art. Brakes to be found on F-1 cars, Porches, and Ferrari's. Space shuttle even has Brembo technology on it. My real name is Daniel, or jackass....whichever suits ya. I picked brembo cuz I like thier philophsy, " do it the best, and let the chips fall where they may". Seems fitting. :)

Post by terrancelam »

I may have already explained this once..hehe but I'm sure not alot of people know..Terrance Lam is just an identity I use. Story behind it ? When I was 14 and I believed in things like "fake IDs", I went out and got one and when he asked me for a name, I was unsure and though "What is the most stereo typical asian name I can think of?" And Terrance Lam was what popped into my mind and all my friends know that when I reffer to my fake ID (Which by the way sucks and doesn't work.), they know about Terrance :D (One reason everyone that I showed it to know about it is that I was so nervous the day I got it was that I signed my own name on the bottom of the ID instead of Terrance Lam!)

I don't know of any other name would suit me, but I was considering a name change.

It's a long complicated/sorted story really. Oh wait...thats another tale..

Noevo. Short for No Evolution. Not the evolving kind of evolution, but the Harley-Davidson engine know as the Evolution, or Evo for short. At the time I was very opposed the the engine. It was new, therefore bad. Actually, it just didn't sound or feel like the engine I had become accutomed to. The shovelhead. So Noevo was born.

Of course, I have since seen the error of my ways and own a Harley with an Evolution engine. But, I like the name and it's unique, has a story, and is just a damn cool nickname if you ask me

end of story...

...or is it?

:p

It all started back when I was 14 and got online for the first time. My names Joe and I wanted to get like "Joe Cool" "Cool Joe". Everytime I tried it, id get "Joe Co8646547865478654875647865" or "Cool Joe457489758475435". And I wanted a screen name that was easy to remember. So I played with Cool Joe for a bit and Came up with CoolJ (Everyone thinks I like LL CoolJ-lol). :D

I'm a doctor, and my names Doug, and when I thought of the name, 99 was the number of awards I've received due to my brilliance. ;) the number is far greater now :D

I wish, that would be sweet. Back in 1997, I got my first computer, and bugged my parents for like a month straight to let me get AOL, so I could see what this internet was all about...I couldn't think of a name, but drdoug sounded cool, but that was taken, so I put 99 at the end, just cuz I thought it was cool sounding...and I've been known as drdoug99 ever since.

blebs=In 1991 or there abouts, I had a open lung biopsy and the Doc's found little raised blemishes on my lungs that they refered to as blebs. I wanted something unique and thought this was it. I'm surprised to see how many other blebs there are out on the net!

I tried to use blebs91, but everywhere I went it was taken. blebs99 wasn't, hence there you have it.

Hi Guy's

" minir "

My last name is Minicola and as a young guy i played a lot of sports and liked to talk with my hands on occassion.

Over time i was called Coca-Cola, Pepsi-Cola, Pop, mini and several others, then a Buddy of mine called me Minir and it stuck.

That was about 45 years ago and when i was asked for a Internet Name i figured what the heck.

Simple as that. :D

My real name is

Not hard to guess mine. Mike is my first name...W is for my last name. I didnt originally think I'd enjoy forums, but now I am hooked. It's much better than IRC chat (which I am a veteran of, thank God) because you don't have to put up with all the wars and taking over of rooms, all the crap that happens in chat now. I simply chose a quick name in order to register for this forum, and still using it. Not to offend those who use nicknames, but I don't feel the need to hide with a nickname, which I always felt I was doing when on IRC. Too old to pretend now (38 years) and I am here simply because I enjoy learning what I can about this newfangled box called a computer.
My computer has taken place of my motorcycles, but the need for speed and performance won't go away. Just fortunate that I can't get any speeding tickets with the computer!
Hmmm...now that I think about it, my "nick" in IRC was "fastmike".
Got a lot of questions about that nick, but, again, it was related to motorcycles...not sex.

***This is for Brembo*** I agree with ya on the Brembo products. They also make most excellent motorcycle brake parts (pads, rotors, lines, calipers). Top notch!!

***This is for UOD*** I was so impressed by your avatar, that I just had to make one for myself. I hope you don't think I stole your idea. You get the credit! I am just a follower!
Mike W.
