R.I.P. Blebs

Post by Dan »

" On Friday night nov 22 2013.. ross went to the hospital, he is in the ICU room XXXX at Aultman Hospital in canton ohio.. He is in guarded critical condition.. He is having a serious upper GI bleed.. at this time he is under sedation and on a ventilator and constantly receiving blood transfusions.. There is a blood clot “the size of a meatloaf” in his stomach, the Dr. says.. please keep him and us in your prayers.."

wishing Ross the best

... man he has had to battle this condition a long time. I hope he wins again!

I was going to post a link to that thread, but the SG search results for "bullsh|t" were too numerous

sometimes you have to think outside the box to get inside the box ;).

11/29/13 1pm pst
"We are all at the hospital. We spoke with Dr. Nashawati at about 2:40pm.

Due to the nature of Ross's nearly non-existent lung functions, and the signs of kidney failure happening, on top of everything else...he does not believe Ross will survive. If they remove the ventilator, he said Ross would pass in 5 or 10 minutes, if that. Barring a miracle, we are left with the decision of when to let go.

I told dad about all of you being updated and sharing your love and support, so that he knows you're all with him.

Thank you all for everything you've become to my father. We know it's not over just yet...but we also know what is in front of us."

"At 12:05pm, Ross passed away.

His kidney functions became much worse overnight, and numbers were only decent today because of maxed medications. Dad had DNR wishes, and we as a family made a decision to end his suffering. They removed the vent, and we were all bedside for the 5-10 minutes it took for him to go to a better place.

Thank you all for everything."

Sad news indeed. He was what was best about SG. Helpful, fun to deal with and an all round nice guy who despite his own troubles was mindful of others.

Rest well my friend you'll be remembered here.
