Because you have been looking for love in all the wrong places...
You need to see a doctor as soon as possible... In the mean time, have no sexual contact with anyone (including yourself) until your medical professional starts you on the proper treatment...

This has been a public service announcement... :D

Moved both the main site and the forums to the new server. Since all the backend software/OS changed to newer versions, please let me know if you notice any oddities/problems with the site.

Shinobi, yum seems to work pretty well, much more polished than up2date and seems to resolve all dependencies ok. You can add repos to it as well... It's been mostly a smooth ride, minus a sendmail mess I got myself into, grr. Anyone into playing with sendmail.mc and domain masquerading through an anti-spam proxy ?

Thanks for the "yum" comment back in this thread.
I went here and d/l the gui, "yum extender" works great..
looks like synaptic package manager.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: Is there a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for yum?
A: Yes! It's called Yum Extender.

You can install it with yum:

1. Open a Terminal.
2. Become root:

su -
3. Install yumex:

yum install yumex

Now you can access Yum Extender in the Applications menu, under "System Tools."

smilies ( post icons) next to thread titles look grainy /pixely

I was going to post a link to that thread, but the SG search results for "bullsh|t" were too numerous

sometimes you have to think outside the box to get inside the box ;).

Replaced with the older ones. It's just a bit tough to get gif/jpg images to look good on both light and dark background without jagged edges.
