Anyone know of any NT registry hacks ideal for use with a cable modem??

Thanks for this forum =)

Some Registry tweaks for NT 4 are posted at http://www.speedguide.net/Cable_modems/cable_registry.shtml

Thanks for the URL =)

Out of curiosity, I couldn't find those specific keys in my registry (NT4 Server w/ SP5). Am I missing the obvious, or should I just "add" those missing keys and their values??

Thanks again!

The keys are not present in the Registry by default, you'd have to add them. Keep in mind that NT is much better optimized for networking by default, and you might not notice such drastic difference in performance as with Windows 9x.

Hmmm...I see.

As I thought. My next question is rather specific to my set up at home.

I've got my @Home service shared to the rest of my home LAN via a WinNT4 server. My question then is, should I still implement reg hacks to my Win9x clients or would that be a useless step at this point?? Thanks for providing this forum btw =)

You should implement them on the client PCs as well, they can only benefit from from the settings.
