Major TACACS ISSUES PLEASE HELP

My network has a Secure ACS ver 5.30.40 and client 3750 IOS 12.2(44)SE5

I created a backup account so that I would be able get back into the 3750. How every when I attempt to use my login credential (i.e Active Directory) I either receive access denied or authentication failure. I look at the logs on the ACS and it shows no log in attempts at all. When I do show tacacs on the switch it too show no log in attempts.
