Power supply replacement

Post by CableDude »

Power Supply just died on my PC  (Sparked, burnt electric smell, won't power on)

700w OCZ Technology Mod X Stream-Pro

Is there an equivalent PSU that I can pick up at Best Buy today?

I don't care about the PC at this point (been running poorly that last few months). I just want the information of the Hard Drive WD10EZEX.

I'm guessing this would work.

Board - ASUS P6X58D-E

The ThermalTake should work. Any of the equivalent wattage Corsair models would be a good choice and if you're going to hang onto it I believe Corsair is a solid product.

I thought about the corsair, I'm just not seeing a 700 watt one. There is 650 and 750

If you just wanted the HDD, I would've bought some external USB-to-SATA enclosure/adapter.. But for the price, that PSU seems fine.
