Post by fords8 »

I was wondering what everyone is using for a motherboard brand in there rigs. I was just using Asus for most of my builds. Now I am using Asrock, Gigabyte, Asus, and MSI.

My current rig is using Asus TUF Gaming B550M-PLUS (WI-FI), AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
My previous/other builds I did in the last couple of years were either Asus or AsRock, I had an Intel MoBo before that too. I haven't bought other brands in a long time it seems. AsRock is basically a budget spinoff of Asus, but they've become big over the years. I hear good things about MSI MoBos too. I don't know enough about Gigabyte motherboards, but I've bought some of their nVidia video cards a couple of years ago and I like them.

My most recent build uses an Asus TUF Gaming X570-Plus. My last 2 builds have been using Asus motherboards. In my eyes they've proven themselves to be a solid choice so I'm sticking with them.

I think Asus is one of the best choices out there as well. The only issue right now seems supply, looking at Newegg for the latest Intel chipsets (500 series) LGA 1200 socket MoBo with Wi-Fi, and most models under 200 are out of stock.

I have not had a look at supply for Asus. Like everything else, things are low or not even showing up.
