The National Film Board of Canada's new feature-length documentary Shinny: The Hockey In All Of Us, about the great Canadian pastime of pick up hockey, has inspired a website where shinny players from coast-to-coast-to-coast can share their stories. The site also includes tips on how to make the perfect backyard rink, a shinny poll, clips and photos from the film, e-cards, and the "Twelve rules of shinny" (e.g. "If you want to play, you have to shovel"). Shinny players of all ages can log on at www.nfb.ca/shinny.

Shinny: The Hockey In All Of Us receives its world television premiere in an hour-long broadcast Wednesday, January 2 at 7:00 pm ET on CBC Television. Shinny will be repeated in its full 73-minute version on January 5 (4:30 am ET), helping kick off Hockey Day in Canada, CBC's third annual all-day focus on Canada's national sport. Shinny will also be excerpted throughout the day.
