Post intellipoint

anyone know why a intellipoint mouse, wont load, i heard that there was a cable fault with these mice, ive loaded driver 4 times now, it shows up in devices, but dont light up, or work.

hi Jesse, yes its working, ive now plugged the mouse, in to the mouse normal port, with a usb converter, it worked, so its not the lead. im lost on this one.

Load the intellipoint 3.2 drivers, then reboot the machine. This should detect the mouse properlly and you won't have these problems. I remember having a similar issue w/ the usb intellimouse..
you cannot just plug in the mouse and expect it to detect, load drivers and wallah...

i just had a similar problem with that wheelmouse optical from microsoft, it worked for a few months, then it started acting weird, then it finally stopped responding, it turns out that the wire in my mouse was disconnected from that little circuit board inside that controls the mouse, maybe because the wire just came off from a little pull, maybe that might be the cable fault (the wire isnt saudered securely or connected securely to the circuit board) so i just decided to buy the intellimouse explorer

i had the same problem, and the cause was the CORD. in the ealier releases of the mouse, they did have bad cables. i now have the opti wheel-mouse, and it works great.
