Talking Need help w/ WRT54G working with SB5100 Cable Modem

I can use my Comcast cable modem (Motorola SB5100) and connect to the internet just fine as long as I am hardwired to the modem. I have a WRT54G wireless router and want to use my laptop wirelessly. I can connect to the wireless router just fine but can't see the internet when I move the cable from my Ethernet port to the internet port of the router.

I am a novice, but have wandered through the WRT54G configuration and am familiar with the configuration options; I just don't know what to do with them.

Thanks

Modem has the MAC of your computer stored. 2x ways of handling it.

1) Turn off modem for about 30 minutes, it should "forget" the MAC of your computer, then power it up connected to the WAN port of your Linksys..it should detect the MAC of the Linksys and "learn" that one.

2) In your Linksys routers web admin, you'll see a page where you can "MAC Clone", enter the MAC of the network card of your computer, and the Linksys will broadcast that MAC on its WAN port instead of it's own.

A MAC is a unique 12 character code most networked devices have, unique to each and every device, similar to the VIN on your car.
