Not that I'm aware of.

You need to share those files that you want to share out on your desktop, then you'll be able to access them on your notebook either by maping the folder to a drive on your laptop, or by just going to My Network Places.

If your wanting to do it via a remote desktop you should get Symantec PCAnywhere, its remote desktop with file transfer capability.

just buy some floppy disks and copy the files to floppy and transfer them that way.
