Battle for Middle Earth Problem
Alright, whenever I start up BfME, The adds are all laggy, like the sounds will start and then after a few seconds the movie will play (for EA sports, intel and all that crap).

The actual pre-game cinematic runs fine. But then when it is about to go to the menu... it freezes and gives me a severe error. It says something about DX8 error and then i get a BSOD.

Now i have dx9.0C installed, and i have the newest Nvidia drivers. I have no clue whats going on. Should I try and format and install drivers / dx fresh or no?


I really want to play this game lol.

and it runs fine

hmmf, then i should uninstall and install old drivers.. K ill do that now i guess. Er sure.. but um... ya.. you know... Im not sure if I will be able to ..heh.

K same thing, I rolled back to the ones right before the latest drivers, the 61.77, and I get the same error.

Are you on DX 9.0C or DX9.0B? Also, where did you get the 61.4 drivers from? On the nvidia site they say that anything below 61.7 doesnt support DX9.0c. Hmmmf.. maybe thats why.
