DSL Modem vs. Cable Modem

I am currently a DSL subscriber and will be moving to an area that may not have coverage. Will I be able to use the DSL modem for high speed cable or are these two modems completely different? Thanks.

Completely different. Totally even. You can check your new area for broadband service. Just go to www.dslreports.com and the top left of the page is a find service box, enter your info and let there database present you with options.
