Anyone Know how to use Norton Ghost 6.5 Enterprise Version?
I've got it, but don't know how to use the thing, been tryin to figure it out for the last couple of days.
I installed it on my Win2k Server, what I want to do is make ghost images. I'm not sure how to do it with this though. What I want to do is install like WinXP on my review station then configure it so things are ready to go for a new review, so all I have to do is ghost the machine and it will go faster since i don't have to do the ole format/install everything waiting routine. But i'm just not sure how to use Norton Ghost!

Ghost is INHERENTLY dos-based. The huge install of the manager is irrelivant to the program itself. Look for the exe called "Ghost6.exe" and throw that on a 9x boot floppy. When DOS boots, run "ghost6.exe", and the menu-driven interface will guide you through the process.

I thought XP wasn't Dos based. Hell if it'll work on XP let me know. I'll give it a whirl.

![]() version 5 and up can read ntfs, though, so it works.... but you still need a dos boot disk. Brent... the new versions may not have the number on the exe, so it could be called just "ghost.exe"

So that would take me about 5 mins on my end.
Quick question. If your image is on your 2nd h/d and your main OS crashes. How do you go about ghosting the image file back to your main drive? I'm swaying to a ghost boot disk, right?

after you install ghost, make a ghost boot disk
then reboot with the disk. your PC will then load Ghost in DOS with mouse support, so you can navigate the menus I ghost to a separate HD, so if my first drive with the C partition packs it in, I can just replace the drive, and ghost it back with the image file I made.
