    I love this fix best of all:

    Increase BROADBAND in XP. It might work for dial up.

    Make sure your logged on as actually "Administrator".
    Start->Run->type gpedit.msc
    Expand the "Local Computer Policy" branch.
    Expand the "Administrative Templates" branch.
    Expand the "Network Branch".
    Highlight the "QoS Packet Scheduler" in left window.
    In right window double-click the "Limit Reservable Bandwidth" setting.
    On setting tab check the "Enabled" item.
    Where it says "Bandwidth limit %" change it to read 0.

    Effect is immediate on some systems, some need to re-boot. This is more of a "counter what XP does" thing. In other words, programs can request up to 20% of the bandwidth be reserved for them, even with QoS disabled.

    Doc I hate to be the one, but, er, ah, it does nothing, thats been around along time, it's not worth it, you have to enable it in services folder (resourses), plus in network connections (resourses), so, but still send money, no checks

    Sure. Embarrass me in front of a bunch of people. Call me a mental moron and then tell me how much my mother reminds you of a lamb. I’m going to send a van over to your place to do nothing more than make you nervous about all the porno sites you visit. In addition… they are going to tap your cable connection and keep track of the web sites you visit.

    There is a way out of this dilemma Lobo. Buy some donuts (okay… a lot of donuts) and give them to the guys in the van. Things will go better for you that way. Your call. Next step is the IRS.

    MadDoc, move to DC, hehe, jk, lol

    Vic it's up to you what you can live without, disabiling service free's up resourses which in turn is what you grave, if you stop something and want to change it back, just boot into safe mode and change it back.

    Doc, donuts, van, donut with white powder stuff on them, hehe
