I just downloaded some movie, completely, but i cant seem to jump to certain sections. It just pretends like i didn't even try to switch. Cant Fast foward or rewind without it going back to the beggining

Sounds like a problem people had "way back then". To cut down on file sizes, people used to make copies of their movies with only ONE keyframe, which, always seemed like a stupid thing to do, as it lowers the quality, and prevents you from "seeking" within the file. But that never stopped anyone.

In other words, you're pretty much stuck with how it is, as recompressing it really isn't an option.

most likely an asf..... sucks dont it.... lol

and yeah its just got one keyframe at the beginning... which means no skipping forward or backward
