    Question question

    sup everyone,

I just have a simple question and would appreciate any answers u may have. I called my isp abourt speed being slow after 3 calls with same problem they finally tell me they downgraded my speed because they no longer have 512 dl 128 they are gonna upgrade the cable to 768 dl and 128 up i was wondering how long this may take to get the dl speeds? does anyone have an estimate of time this should take?

    thanks

Are you asking how long it should take your ISP to fix the problem or what kind of speeds you should expect to get?

    Corey:

Why don't you do a couple of things, so we can see what's happening on your end.

Go here, click the TCP/IP Analyzer link, then cut-and-paste and post the test results(minus your IP Address).

Go here, find the test site closest to your home, run 4 - 5 speed tests, then post the upstream/downstream rates you got. Make sure that you clear your browser cache BEFORE running each test.

By the way, a better attitude WILL get you more positive responses.

You do have some nerve getting an attitude. First your questions are very vague and unclear and how in the world are we supposed to know how long it will take your ISP to upgrade your speed, you are the one who spoke with your ISP... why didn't you ask them?

wow now i get some results lmao i suppose i was a little harsh sry

I did ask my isp and they said it depends on how busy they are so i was wondering about the time lines of any of your upgrades.

my first question of you is: you said you "upgraded" to the new 768 they are offering because they were cancelling the 512 dl speed. well if they are no longer offering that then I hope you are not paying more for the new speeds especially if your ISP doesn't even have the service available yet.

secondly, your ISP can take as long as they like to fix the problem. They run the show. however, if your internet isn't working then you should call them immediately and have annotate that you are without service. you are paying for a service if you don't have that service you should be compensated.

when @home went to h3ll my service was messed up for about a month so GOOD LUCK!!!
