    Lower MTU = Lower ping???

Well I got myy ISP issues fixed, it turns out my speed crapped out cause they use QOS on the network....

Anyway, my ping is 120-170 avg.

I was wondering if I could lower it by setting my MTU a little lower..maybe 750?

I think its worth a try...

The AFD buffers in Cablenut help and if they do use the QoS Packet scheduler try the QoS tweak here. QoS is in XP & 2K.

Thanks, I've done the QOS tweak already.

I'm also using large AFD buffers thru cablenuts, it seems to help a bit, makes downloads more steady, and the peak at the beginning is sometimes 1000KB+ before it drops to normal

Some gamers reduce MTU (576 sometimes).
They say the ping is more stable and low.
I never try this tweak because it kill your speed also

i know in unreal tournament there is a setting under ping called "netspeed" which caps your cable dsl connect where it should be..and it usually helps stability and ping..
