    Question Sudden Shutdowns

Alright, I've got a computer with an Athlon 4 1 GHz processor, 256 RAM, and Windows XP Professional.

Anyway, lately, my computer shuts down suddenly with no warning when I use certain programs like virtualdub, dvd2avi, and adware.

Does anyone know what my problem may be and what I can do about it?

Set XP to "not" shutdown when errors occur.

Right click "My Comupter" >advance tab> startup and recovery button, you'll see the option there. With that set, you should get a blue screen instead. May help you figure out what's up.

Also, check your event logs, there may be an entry in there pointing you to the problem.

Probably power supply, or video card (or video card driver). (just guessing)

How do you see the event logs? Oh yeah, and thanks for helping.

    Question

I don't seem to see where it says what it does when errors occur in the start and recovery menu is it under the options that say system failure?
