ATX powersupply 2.01 and 2.03 help

hey guys

ok i have atx 2.01 but haven a hard time finding 2.01 ther all 2.03errr. Says its backward compatibility so it will fit my MOBO cuz of the 12V crap. i dont know looks a lot smaller then my MOBO strip ????

and then thers a smaller power strip that hocks to my MOBO by Main power strip. Its proply like 2 pins its small is that coman?

Yup that's a standard 20 ping ATX connector. Prior to that was AT, where you had two pairs of connectors which went side by side...black wire to black wire. Now you have newer P4 power supplies, with 4 ping connectors.

Not sure what you mean by the 2 pin connector to the mobo....could be a fan monitor lead like some have, so your motherboard monitoring system (if supported) can include the PS's fan.

2.01 : standard atx design.. a little dated but will work with all but p4 applications..no 12v 4pin molex (special square one) to mobo

2.03 : standard atx design ... the 'newer' one.. will work with all atx applications.. DOES have 12v 4pin molex..most p4 platforms use this to feed juice to the processors
