Need help with Yahoo Voice chat while using ZoneAlarm

ZoneAlarm used to be so good before I upgraded to version 2.6.362. Now I cant use Yahoo Voice chat anymore. Neither can I use it while I dial-in to work for telecommuting.

Anyone know how to configure zonealarm so that i can do voice chat on Yahoo?

    Thanks in advance.

Can't you just click on the programs tab then find the program and then click options? All the settings should be there.

Are you sure that Zonealarm is causing the problem? Does it work while Zone alarm is not turned on?

Yes it is ZoneAlarm that is causing the problem.

When I dial into my office network to telecommute, zonealarm blocks all access to my comp from the remote server. This was not the case with the previous version of ZoneAlarm. Especially I use a program called PC-Duo (similar to PCAnywhere) to remote control my office workstation from home. PC-Duo sends packets to and from my home comp to ofc comp. but the traffic from my office workstation is completely blocked. EVEn if I fill out the IP addrwsss range that are allowed access to my comp, it does not work.

The same case happens with yahoo chat. If I turn on the webcam or voice chat, Yahoo server sends network packets to my comp, but zonealarm forbids it and finally i get the message from yahoo that it is not possible to voice chat because i appear to be behind a firewall.

If I shut down Zonealarm, all these problems go away.

And it is virtually impossible to cleanly uninstall zonealarm. You have to mess around with the registry to remove all traces of it after uninstalling it.

I have the older version of zonealarm but it is not possible to uninstall the current version and go back to the older version because of the registry problem. Well, what can I expect from a free software?
