    raid tests

    (1) ok here is the deal got my new box going and was tryin to test the disk speed,in sandrasoft it just will not finish , how long does this take usually ?

    (2) i can do a test in passmark 3.5 which i got from here
http://www.passmark.com/ and this is the result.

    (3) these scores seem alittle low to me or are they ?

    (4) now for the really dumb question when i installed my 2 hard drives for raid 0 to the onboard raid controller i set them both to master and pluged each one into a seperate IDE connector that are for the raid.

is this the proper way to plug them in ?

please don't laugh , well i said i was a newbie at this so go ahead.

If you read the info on the disk part, it explains that it's dependent on how much memory you have. The more, the longer it takes....

At a gig of memory, you should be done by Christmas if you start right now.
The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, and prejudices to be found only in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can destroy and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all of its own for the children and the children yet unborn and the pity of it is that these things cannot be confined to the Twilight Zone.
