    Welcome to SpeedGuide!

Are you encountering frequent disconnects, or just slow speeds? If it's just slow speeds, please post some tracerts in here so one of us can determine your problem. You can try these if you want:

    C:\WINDOWS\TRACERT OMARNYC.COM > c:\trace1.txt
    C:\WINDOWS\TRACERT PCMAGLABS.COM > c:\trace2.txt
    C:\WINDOWS\TRACERT SEA.SPEAKEASY.NET > c:\trace3.txt
    C:\WINDOWS\TRACERT DFW.SPEAKEASY.NET > c:\trace4.txt

Copy and paste all four files in here, change the IP address on the first hop to something else so your WAN IP isn't exposed.

    possible DSL speed solution

    Hi.

Try either grabbing the speed patch by a program called "Quest@Home" or try following the broadband registry entries for Cable and DSL, in the broadband area of speedguide.net.

Between the two, i actually got the best results by following speedguide.net's recommendations (thx peeps)

Also, if u want to add a registry entry that doesn't exist (which was the case a lot on my comp), then add em "exactly" the way it is written.

    bye.
