    2 NIC's in one Machine

    Hello,
    I got 2 NIC's in my computer with Windows2000Pro

Was just wondering if i can control the way these NIC's work
can i set one for upload only and one for download only?
is there a software for that?

My connection is direct on a backbone (just like cable)

right now when i'm downloading something both NIC's keep Flashing at the same time, speed got higher but this happened
from place to place (FTP works, Cnet.com only one will work, one NIC will stay flash'n)

Hmmm donno what else to say ask me if i missed something
    i should have said

well, ur 1 NIC should do the trick... 100mbps is faster then most connections so it should be ok... if u have a super fast connection u can always use a gigabit nic... what would be the point in using 2?

Proxy/NAT servers have two NICs- one for the 'net connection and one for the LAN.
    Are both NICs cabled?

Tell me the purpose that you use 2 NIC's. Unless you use one for Lan and the other for Proxy, one NIC should do the job.

Yeah i forgot to tell you this but i have limited speed per wire
so each wire has 650kb/sec download and 150kb/sec upload
so if i put 2 wires i'll get faster speed and i can download
from different location without slow'n the other one
(ex. downloading from the office and playing games online,
    or something like that)
both wires are cabled yes, they come here with there own
cable modem (they look nothing like cable modem though)
i have crappy camera i can take a pictures if you want
