Question of speed

Im on 1.5 aDSL, now i ussually am getting 650Kb up and around 1024 down under normal circumstances( BTW; I
m happy with my speeds ). My question is, When using monitoring software such as Netstat live that shows an Min, Max and average, what kind of Peaks do you see on your MAX. For the last 3 weeks I have been seeing MAX downs of 13.5 MB and 1Mb up, Never seen peeks like this before. Is it a glitch in Netstat Live or do I maybe have a NIC going for a Poop, or do others see peeks like this???

BTW: Win2k, SP2, no tweeks, Enternet 300, 3COM NIC, Alcatel modem

If it is showing 13.5mbps, it is a glitch with the software.

See when you download a file and you get that real high download rate, then it slowly drops to a steady rate? Well, that's your burts and NetStat records your burst speeds.

What version of Enternet are you using?

Bursts are glitches. You arent really ever getting that speed.

I realize that they are burst, just never seen them so high, my burst is rarely over 2 Mb, just seems out of wack right now, thats all
