    LOL....

I'll bet they never did either.

Tell you what, gimme their phone number and I'll let them know for you.

These things are ALWAYS good information for parents.

Especially parents who love their kids.

Heh, my car does the 1-2 shift at 50, the 2-3 shift at 90 and I've never hit the 3-4 shift at WOT (wide open throttle). This is in mph not kph too!

My upcoming gear change will change those numbers a lot.

And you will too, right up until you have to change your own clutch! That is when you'll stop liking them.

Yeah that alot cheeper then having to replace an auto tranny or rebuild one. Trust me I just had to replace mine with out labor it was 3,995.00 so Id rather replace a clutch in a manual tranny then have to replace an auto.

They both have drawbacks. I just got tired of replacing clutches. I always did my own labor on the jobs too! That saved a whole lotta money, but it still wasn't any fun. If you take serious care of either type, you'll get many miles out of them. If you abuse either seriously, you won't have either very long!

good thing you didn't say mph, because no one would believe you then, I don't know the convertion rate from km/h to mph but I'll try to find out, until then I just have to take your word for it

the clutch seems fine....car has 68 000km on it and the clutch hasn't bin replaced yet...

    the gears for this car is: gear 1 0-35km/h, gear2: 20-65, gear 3: 50-95, gear 4: 75-160, gear 5: 90-max (highway gear)

manuals seem really cool, but y does the car always rock back and forth all the time, whether your going or slowing down? Or shifting gears?

What kind of car do you have? I just race-prepped my trans and it only ran me $2425.....

    $4k seems pretty high.

the fastest i've ever gone in a car was two years ago. i was on the interstate and i was going down a decline. it wasn't steep but i hit 123 miles an hour. then thats the fastest it would go. my car was shaking so bad at that speed i was scared to death and then started to break to slow down. i thought i was gonna kill myself. i will probably never go that fast again.

    Conversion is as follows.

    1 Kilometer = .62 miles.

    100 kmh/62 miles an hour.

    So 160 kmh=99 mph roughly.

There was a police chase a couple of months ago involving an Impala SS (94-96 variety, not the wimpy V6 FWD new ones) and he was leaving the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (using Police Crown Vics) in the dust. The helicopter following him couldn't keep up. A cop on the ground clocked him at 164 mph.

Obviously it wasn't stock, but.....damn! I saw the video, it was amazing.
