Earlier in the week I sent an email to coxRR with ping times to my gateway due to an increase in latency on the network.

I received a response from them and they gave me a credit for the rest of the month & until the latency issue is resolved!

I responded with a ThankYou and another question.

Today I got another email from them. This one had an attachment called fun.pif. I knew it was an unusual file so I saved it to do a virus scan on it. Seems thios is one of the files masquerading as the W32.Badtrans virus/worm.

I took care of it easily cause I never executed the file.

From Symantec -

"The next time that the computer is rebooted, the worm will wait for 5 minutes, then it will use MAPI to find all unread email messages and reply to all of them."

This means 2 things -

1. They haven't read my response ThankYou mail that I sent 3 days ago and

2. Everybody else that has sent them mail will receive this virus!

What kind of security do they have there? DUH!
