Question Need help with home router and VPN/IPSEC client pass through

    Folks,

I have a netwrok at home with 4 PCs and a cable modem (AT&T@Home service). I am using a Hawkings Firewall for secure the LAN and share the IP Address (NAT).

    The problem:
I use a Lucent VPN IPSEC client to access a Lucent VPN gateway to the office LAN. The Hawkings doesn't allow the VPN client top establish connection with the VPN gateway.

"Q" - Would any of you know of a home firewall (up to $350 or so) that could be setup to allow an IPSEC client to pass-through.. Also, should be easy to set up the basics..

    Thanks in advance,

    Arie

If I may, I'd point you at either the linksys router or the zyxel P310 routers. You can read reviews from the main page here.

They will both allow for NAT. And they both allow port forwarding. The ZyXEL will support VPN ports, and the Linksys will as well I think.

In any case, either of these can be had for under your price limit, and the Linksys even includes a four port hub or switch.
