my "NAT" box is actually win2k advanced server. Is there any way I can setup a quake server/ ftp server / netmeeing on say the 192.168.1.2 and have someone from the internet get to it?
I have been reading a lot about pptp, port mapping and all that but I'm not sure what the best solution is here.
Thanks in advance.

Possibly two solutions... a proxy server or a router. I'm not sure how the proxy works on a WIN2K box, but if it will handle the protocols and the designated ports for the apps you will be running, then sweet. With MS Proxy for NT, you can designate the app, the protocol, the port and whether it's outgoing or incoming.
With a router it's basically the same thing, it's NATing many to one. Your many private IP's to one public. The type of router will depend on the difficulty of setting this up.
