    Great, USPS mis-delivered my package

Bought something off ebay a couple weeks ago.
Delivery confirmation showed it being delivered Thursday but nothing in my lockbox.
Called the PO Friday and again this morning.

The carrier looked at the time stamp and said he was nowhere near my road at that time.
Obviously it was delivered to the wrong address.

Hopefully that person will write "wrong address" and give it back to the carrier.
If not, is the shipper still responsible for a refund as it does show "delivered"?

"They" being the shipper or the person who got my package?

I'm finding mixed views on ebay's stance for shipper liability on this one.

I would think the USPS would be responsible. Call your local postmaster and file a claim. I did this once. Took a few weeks but I received a check for the value after showing proof of purchase

Instead of filing an ebay claim? That's my dilemma here. I have no doubt they sent the package to me, but as the buyer I didn't receive it, so could try to hold them accountable. Am seeing several different results on ebay's policy for buyer's protection policy here though, as technically it does show delivered.

The records show USPS at fault here, but I've never heard of them accepting responsibility for something like this (work retail and we ship world-wide, dealing with claims like this every day).

Not looking to screw anyone but I paid for this and haven't received it. Will speak w/ my shipping manager tomorrow to see if he has any advice.

    Thanks.
