Help in identifying connection problem source :)

    Hello,

This is actually my first post in this forum. I am currently having trouble identifying a connection problem.
Here is my result when i ping a website when my connection is stable.

And for some odd reason here is a ping result when my connection is unstable.

Please help i have been experiencing this at least a month now..
I only have a 1.5 mbps plan. RTO also occurs very frequently.

    Welcome to SG!
Note you can use "ALT + Print Screen" to only include the active window instead of the whole desktop in screenshots

As to your question, try to do a "tracert ...." instead of ping, as it will give you the exact hop at which the latency occurs. This will then help determine whether it is something that can be improved on your end, or it may be ammunition to complain to your ISP about.

The first couple of hops are usually your router/modem, then next couple of hops are the path between you and your ISP.
3 asterisks (always) may mean that this particular hop does not accept ICMP pings.
less than 3 asterisks, and a jumping/high latency means an overloaded node (or, less often, a loaded node that gives very low priority to ICMP), and you should complain to your ISP about!
The problem seems to be at the 4th hop (your ISP), I'd definitely contact them and send them a few of those screenshots showing the problems. You should not be getting more than ~50ms that close to your modem/router.
