    Home wiring question

    Howdy folks!
New member here, hoping I could get some help. I just moved into a house that is about 11 years old. It's wired with cat5e, but only telephone was ever set up. Since I'm using VoIP and a cable modem, I dont have any restrictions. I want to reconfigure the wiring to allow wired access in multiple rooms, as well as multiple wireless access points. Thanks to YOSC, I can do the wireless part, but can anyone direct me to resources to get the wiring right? Think I've got most of the hardware I need; I've got a box full of old routers that I can use for switches.

Thanks in advance, and apologies if this is covered elsewhere. I don't know enough yet to know the right keywords.

Sure...give us some more details please.
You say it's already wired with 5e....good. Hopefully it all leads to a little distro area, such as a patch panel in the basement, or garage, or...some room.
Are there jacks located in the rooms that you need?
