    I just spent last week in NC, was there when it set a record 105 and highways buckled from the heat. Add the humidity and it makes for a miserable place to live. 2 boys died from heat exhaustion playing in their yard, ages 7 and 9.

    I got off the plane at home to 53 w/ a mist and sighed a very large sigh of relief that I live here and not there anymore.

    Global warming's a myth, eh?

    Personally, everytime that I have been up to the DC area during summer, I have always been happy to get out of that heat when I returned to FL as that area seems to have unbearable heat... It is seemingly normal down here for this time of year. I don't recall us ever having triple digits, officially anyways... Thank goodness for air conditioning!!!

    PS, did I mention that SCat was a wanker???

    We broke our previous record of 98 yesterday with 99. Heat index was above 110.
