I play first person shooter games like Counter Strike 1.6, Counter Strike : Source, Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2. In all of these games, when I play multiplayer, my bullets go through people..they just don't register. However, if I shoot in front of the player model's path of their movement, my bullets register..now, can someone explain how this works ? My ping to these game servers are less than 70..I get 60ms average on the Counter Strike 1.6 and Source servers, and yes, the ping is STABLE. I'm on an ADSL (not 2+, just basic adsl copper wire) connection with 8 MB download speed and 1mb upload speed.
To make sure of this problem I used fraps to record my gameplay and when I viewed it later, in super slow motion I can confirm that the bullet registration is just so horrible. Some of my friends who were spectating me told me the same thing on teamspeak, they told me something is screwed up with my internet connection.
Help ? Is there any way I can find out what's wrong?
