    Rush - Clockwork Angels

Rush released a new album 06/12/12 and my initial impression is that it's not bad at all. I've never been the biggest Rush fan but I have always appreciated their work. This one is actually quite entertaining and solid start to finish...a little heavier sound than past releases.

I was big into them in high school and college...saw them a couple of times....Grace under Pressure tour, Power Windows tour, and Presto tour. I didn't like Presto as much...sort of lost interest in the sound they were going with that album. Grace and Power are two of my favorite sounds..as far as their albums. Hemispheres too. Looking forward to checking out this new album.

    Neil Peart = awesome!!!
Just browse some of Neils solos on youtube...incredible diversity.

//checking out the songs on youtube...some guy cheezeandhoney posted all the tracks up.
Gotta give them a few more listens too....so far giving most an "OK". Halo Effect is cool. Garden is pretty moving.

Not sure how to take this one. Certainly not like past albums.

Haven't heard the newest stuff but have always liked most of their older music. Saw their opening show of the Presto tour when I was a kid and was blown away...the energy was intense. That was probably the highest energy show I saw at that age out short of The Who and Jethro Tull (more so than Bowie, The Stones, Floyd, Dead, Allman Bros).

Loved 2112, Fly By Night, Moving Pictures.

I've never seen them live but have heard that is the best way to experience Rush as they put on quite an amazing live show.

I’d like to see David Bowie live. I have a Rush ticket stub. All I remember them playing was Tom Sawyer. I think somebody Rophyed one of my drinks, I definitely didn’t get that loaded from a couple of rum and cokes. I don’t remember going to the show, who I went with or going home. I woke up the next morning with all my clothes on, including my shoes. Over time I asked all my friends if I went with them or they came with me, they all said “no, I didn’t even see the show”. Sounds like a Twilight Zone episode to me.

I would love to see Neil Peart. When I first heard Rush, I thought they had 2 drummers. Never in my mind, could I imagine one guy pounding the hell out of the drums like that.

I think I saw Bowie twice. The first time I was too young to really know any of his music. Second time my girlfriend's best friend was almost an hour late and of course we had to wait for her. By the time we got inside I was so pissed it ruined the show for me. Since then my appreciation for his music has grown to the point I'd love to see him again.

If I won or was given tickets to go see them I would give them away for free. From day 1 I have never liked them. Actually, I can't stand them and can't figure out how they ever got as big a they are.

    That is all.
