so I got attacked by a dog..

So yeah one of the neighbors dog got out. I got bit on my ankle and left wrist and right bicep. my right bicep was torn up a bit.. bout 7 cm gash or so.. nice battle wound.. didn't feel a thing.. adrenaline was pumpin.. was fun I must admit, fighting with a dog that is... Wasn't sure if it was going to attack me or my dog Bailey as I was walking my dog at the time and I just put myself in front of my dog to make sure it attacks me.. it ignored my dog completely the entire way through it just was dead set on me.. I grabbed it by the collar, picked it up and it started choking then it wiggled its way out and attacked my ankle a couple more times then ran off.

I'd post up my gory pic of my bicep but don't think anyone wants to see it..

So I'll let people voluntarily look at it..

    3 stitches 15 staples...

I just laughed the entire thing through...

Edit: Forgot to mention that it happened yesterday afternoon..

Wow....quite a gash there, that's a perma-scar and will remain uncomfortable for a long time due to the skin constantly pulling tight there as you move your arm. Keep your routine going on flushing it to keep it clean.

Wow, that is quite a wound, like Stonecat said it will take some time to heal...

Eh, one of the neighbors called animal control and an ambulance so pretty much they did all that yay fun stuff.
That photo was taken in the ambulance and I even let the lady take some pictures of her own. lol.
They told me it was 3 stitches and 15 staples but yet i don't see the stitches but I quite clearly remember him putting them in though he did numb the wound area but as it was I didn't feel much as I was pumped on adrenaline.
I found the entire thing fun, exciting, and funny. I was laughing about it all too.
They wrapped it in cloth after they did stitches and staples and yesterday I had the cloth removed. They said it looked very good for a dog bite.

    After Cloth Removal:

So I woke up this morning with blisters around the wound.:

I was reading online that healing wounds is just like what I do after a good weight lifting session.. Eat lots of foods rich in protein primarily... but except in this case it's just any nutritious food. Lots of calories are burned during the healing process so I must take in lots.
When I found out they didn't wanna pay for the bills: ┻━┻ ︵ヽ(`Д´)ノ︵ ┻━┻ but yes.. lawsuit to ensue..

Don't forget the Vitamin E, topically. Once the skin closes it can make a huge difference in scar tissue.

Damn that's a nasty bite. It looks clean at least, straight line instead of ragged tearing.

Wishing you the best. Been there. Be thankful it wasn't your face.

Thanks. Yeah glad it was just straight down, could've been worse. Was basically fatty tissue as I recall from what the doctor said. Not sure if it did manage to get some muscle or not... Also a bit above the scar is numb, i dont really feel anything there... like you can feel something there but you dont get any kind of sensation... feeling i guess.. so if i scratch there i dont really feel a scratch like i would where i can feel normally... hard to explain...

As for my face... Hell, I'm an ugly duckling anyway so a few scars here and there or my face torn off wouldn't matter, maybe it'll make me better lookin lol.

A friend of mine's mother put his dog down. He gave it beer. The dog attacked her. Dummy!

You should look into if the owner of that dog, gave it beer? Coincedence? More times not.

Well the dog got put down on the 21st so it's sadly gone. I doubt they did blood work on it but they did say it wasn't up to date on vaccinations.

I am very friendly with all pets. My Schedual does not allow me to have one. I am starting to get really p***ed about all the people in this city leaving there dog in the car while they shop, leaving the dog to boil to death. It's OK, I'm passive. Leads me to beleive the way the government of Ontario reacts, People will have to have a liscence to have kids?

Could we just find some middle ground?, and just make it really nasty to own/disopperate a pet?
