I thought that there's been so much doom and gloom posted lately that I would put up something pretty cool.

The wife and I are spending 8 days (leaving in a couple of days) on Kauai. I have an old friend that lives on the island. The last time I was there was about 8 years ago. The cool thing is that this is something my wife never thought she would ever do in her entire life (before she met me) so she's about as excited as you can get.

be sure and stop by ,Kauai Harley & the city of Koloa,& and look for the chickens ! LOL

and watch for geckos,they are everywhere and are in colors like nowhere else !

don't laugh,but the best place to get cheap souvenirs and flip flops,etc is Walmart there.


we are going for 9 days on Tuesday to Maui, we can wave from the beach to each other !?!?!?? LOL

I kind of like Maui better,though I love both,we get non stops from sac to Maui,I know you can get non stops to Kauai from LAX,we have to stop in LA and then Kauai when we go there.

I also just booked 8 days again at the end of February next year to go whale watching on Maui. We are going to the islands pretty much twice a year now.

I get a great deal with my Alaska airlines visa,they give me one $99 anywhere RT companion ticket per year.I run EVERYTHING in my life through that card to get the miles,so I get 2 free RT tickets to anywhere they fly every 18 months or so.

The place we originally wanted was already booked. The guy said he knew of another place that was just freakin' amazing and that the lady who owns it keeps it really nice. If you map the place you'll see it's on a road with only 3 other homes. Very secluded. We're going to be about 1 mile from Koloa.
