I'm in the process of Networking my house, with Cat5e cable and sockets. A supplier has sent Cat6 sockets (Pushdown Type) instead of the Cat5e which I ordered. The cable is Cat5e Solid, which is going to be plastered in the wall, so I can't easily correct any issues after installation.
Will the Cat6 socket be ok, or should I insist on the Cat5e sockets. I understand that Cat5e is 24AWG and Cat6 is 22AWG
Thanks for any responses
Bob
