I saw the whole thing. If Obama wins again what about that would have Nugent in jail? I'm open to clarifications, but I'm hardly the only one who questioned if that was a threat. Nugent has made threatening remarks before towards him so it's hardly difficult to see him doing it again.

the purpose of this thread was to point out another extreme remark that Nugent made to express his views. admittedly its not as bad as his "suck on my machine gun" remark he made in the past.

My reasoning was clarified. Nugent with his past remarks on a comparable issue is the last person who should be making statements or analogies like that. He would be better served to find a better way to voice his displeasure.

He is on record admitting to having sex numerous times with underage girls and in one known case the girl was as young as 14 years old all while he was an adult. In hindsight the use of the word pedophile was melodramatic, but if nothing else his actions define statutory rape. In the "big picture" as you put it Nugent is a vile human being and not exactly the kind of person anyone should be praising.

Nugent believes in the Constitution as it was written by our founding fathers. He is absolutely correct in fighting to defend our freedoms. If your happy with the way this current administration is run amok, where the entire checks and balances system has been compromised, then hey, what can say. I'm still asking myself daily what the hell is wrong with our military leaders. Are they not sworn to defend the constitution against all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC?

The bigger issue is, this country is not being run by the government, but by the Elites. Until you wake up and realize that, everything else you do is futile. How do you stop someone or more, with so much money that they can bankrupt nations at a time? You can't, hence, we are all screwed.

Dear God blebs what's the matter with you? I get that you dislike Obama, but this has more to do with Nugent's violent remarks directed at the President both recently and in the past. This thread has nothing to do with the constitution it has to do with how Nugent expressed his views as I have said repeatedly. Your credibility on anything dealing with Obama is already shot dude. The moment you called Obama a socialist and used the bank/car industry as your example and then gave Bush a pass for doing the same thing you lost your credibility. I got no issues with Obama criticism if people are being consistent, but after that response from you it's impossible to take you seriously on the subject because of your bias. If you had stated that Bush was just as guilty in your mind than I could have understood your point even if I disagreed with you about either of them being socialist, but when you are so blatantly partisan your comments just can't be taken seriously on that topic. Having been on both sides of the aisle that's a big thing of mine. Criticism is fine, but be consistent.

Now back to the thread at hand even using your idea of an him making an analogy doesn't take away from the fact it was a violent one directed at the President both this past weekend and back in 2009. I oppose that kind of garbage whether it's Obama and Nugent or Eddie Vedder and President Bush.

I NEVER backtracked. Bush did not want control over the industry, he was trying to help it. I disagree with both, the government has no business interfering with the private sector like that. Obama wanted to control the industry, just as he wants to control the banking industry (he made companies take money that did not want or need it) and healthcare. All are the infrastructures of our economy, he wants to control them all.
