Another 'bay question...

I'm not sure if people are just stupid or trying to scam you but...


As an example: I am always checking out the prices on several "used" guitar effects processors. The going price (and confirmed price from past auctions) is approximately $200.00. There are always several people trying to sell the same thing with a BIN for something like $450.00. I don't get it. Are these sellers just hoping you'll click on the item and then they fight you in the resolution proces hoping to get their money?

have you tried pawn shops ? I have been to all of my local ones lately looking for pro audio/musical things,and they all seem to have tons of that stuff,

you should check that out.

and yes,ebay is hit and miss.

No problem. I really already have some of the items I look at. I just check them out mostly out of curiosity. I was just wondering why some people put them up with a BIN at about 3 times the going price? Some kind of scam?

not really a scam , just way overpriced items IMO,so yes,I think they want to trap impulse buyers that way.



I browse and sell a lot on ebay,I know what you mean.
