Download speeds much higher in safe mode

I have a problem similar to one discussed in a previous thread. My download speeds are well below what I'm supposed to have. When I operate in safe mode, though, they match the promised speed. As was suggested in the previous thread, I have provided a hijack this log below. Does anything stand out as potentially causing the slowdown in my system?

    Thanks.

Nothing in particular in the HijackThis log, however, you seem to have a number of services running.

I'd suggest turning off Symatec's Anti-virus realtime/online protection to test if it affects transfers, as well as other programs in your system tray. Make sure you have available resources on the machine, i.e. spare CPU cycles/RAM as well.

Turning off all those programs made no difference. As for physical memory, it looks like I have 4gb, 1.5 are cached, 1.5 available, and 50mb free. I'm also showing 106 processes, CPU usage at 7% and physical memory at 62%. Does that help?

Uninstall Symatec's crap... run Norton's removal tool.... and make sure you restart then re-test.
