    Video Card Comparison

I saw the egg has this video card on sale today and need some educated opinions on how it compares to my existing card!

I added the description in case the links do not work....

    Here's the sale one:

ASUS ENGTX460 DirectCU TOP/2DI/768MD5 GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) 768MB 192-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

    Here's my old card:

XFX HD-485X-ZDFC Radeon HD 4850 1GB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

    Bought in July 2009

Any thoughts? Nothing wrong with my old one, I'm just an NVidia fan and the price looked good.

    Thanks in advance!

Price does look good but the 460's are I believe at end of life and they are trying to unload them, same as your 4850. EVen after all that the 460 is a better card with a much higher memory clock well into the 3000's and it's a DX11 card so you can play all the Directx 11 compatible games coming out. The memory of the 460 is also GDDR5 vs the other card at GDDR3 and has a mini HDMI port vs the crappy svideo port in the other card.

I'm a Nvidia card man myself but all that aside the 460 is the better card and for $109 after the rebate a good buy!
