Trying to Connect A Qwest Q1000 Behind Cable Modem

Please can you assist. Currently I have a cable connection for internet. The modem is a RCA Model DCM425 using Mediacom cable. I'm trying to hook up a Qwest Q1000 modem/router as a router. I can get the main computer to connect through the Q1000 router, coming off of the RCA modem into port 1 of the Q1000 router. But I can't connect any additional computers. Is it possible to do so, and if so how????? Please help if you know......

If anyone is still looking for an answer for this:
I was unable to get it to work without using transparent bridging. Unfortunately, that then deactivates the DHCP server in the Q1000. Since the DCM425 does not have a DHCP server, there has to be an intermediate device to do this function. Fortunately, my VOIP ATA (SPA2102) has one to control traffic for voice clarity. I have 2 pcs and a printer wired to the router and multiple wireless devices successfully working.

Transparent bridging can be found in the advanced settings under the WAN ip settings.
