SG's TCPoptimizer does not detect the Clearwire USB wireless adapter as a network adapter, therefore it will not apply any adapter-specific changes to your Clearwire USB adapter, therefore only the "global" settings that are tweaked will apply to it. I'm still trying to figure out how much of TCPoptimizer is rendered useless because of this.
The default MTU for the USB adapter is 1400. TCPoptimizer can not change this because TCPoptimizer does not recognize it as a network adapter, as is evident when you attempt to select the network adapter from SG TCP Optimizer GUI. The device is not listed. Even if you select the checkbox for "Modify All Network Adapters", the adapter settings for your USB wimax modem will not be changed. In order to manually change the MTU for your Clearwire Wimax adapter open "Device Manager", expand "Network Adapters", right-click "Wimax Network Adapter", select "Properties", click the "Advanced" tab. In the "Property" field below "MTU" will already be highlighted. To the right of that, you'll see the "Value" field which states "1400". Highlight "1400" and change it to "1500". Click "OK".
That solves the MTU portion. As for making sure the other settings are properly carried over, the quest is still ongoing.
