Need Router DNS configuration help - Unable to access website inside LAN

I have the following ethernet network configuration:



One of my computers is set up as a web server and which I can access it from outside my network, but from inside my computer LAN, I cannot acccess it.

Can someone help me on how to configure the Router 2 DNS so that behind the router2, my website URL resolves to the local web server IP address?

Assuming it's functioning properly from outside of your network....

Your router most likely does not support "loopback"....meaning, from inside the network..you cannot type the public IP/DNS name....and resolve to a local resource. Most home grade routers don't allow this, usually a feature of more business grade routers.

Sometimes, if you're running old firmware on your router, updating with the latest feature..you'll find support for it added.

I not sure I understand the diagram but it looks like DNS resolves your web address to IP address W.X.Y.Z , is that right?

Have you tried typing in the IP addess directly in the address bar of your browser? Try it. It might be that you have a local DNS server that won't serve up your external address.

Update: Now I can see your diagram. I don't know what the problem was before.
