Picked up a new Thermaltake case for cheap locally for $50. A steal in my eyes. Was going to go strictly with Lian Li but shipment here was about the cost of the case. lol
Performance PC's had the Lian Li casters and Lamptron handles. I couldn't stand the case without some means of picking her up. Wrapping my arms around the case to life it up was just too lame so I purchased handles and casters.
My other supplies should be here in the next week or so. Sleeving, heat shrink, extraction pin tools for ATX/Molex/Fans, SATA crimper's, heat shrink gun, soldering kit, misc. tools, spare pins m/f of all assortments and connectors. PSU change out kit, plus extra Molex/SATA straight thru and caps, (2) Molex minibus, (2) 8" white cold cathode UV lights....the whole works. Going with Raid-0 (2) WD VelociRaptor150GB 10000 RPM drives and with (4) 1TB internal drives, SATA DVD. Still haven't thought about sound card or if I really need one. Going to customize all cabling and sleeve...sleeve...SLEEVE! Should keep me busy on the weekends.
Supplies and parts is costing around $640. That price doesn't include hardware either. Steep price but at least I'll have all tools and spare parts for any repair, mod builds for the future.
Any input or advice from the above is welcomed. BTW, this is my very first case/hardware installation ever so be gentle.![]()
