Download and save TCP Optimizer in a new folder. Link to it is at the bottom left of our main web page.

Start your own thread. Don't use the thread of someone else.

I gave custom settings. Connection speed slider is only used with optimal settings, not custom settings.

Do a tracert to www.yahoo.com and post.

To do a tracert, click 'Start' and then 'Run'. Type "cmd" into the box and click 'ok'.

A DOS black screen will appear. Type after the C:\>

    tracert www.yahoo.com

    and press enter key

When test is completed, move mouse cursor to the DOS black screen, click right and choose 'select all'.

Move mouse cursor to the Quick Reply box of this forum, click right and 'paste'.

The reason i say it's slow is because when i download it starts at 2.5mb/s at the most. now when i download it's less, starts around 490kb/s to 632kb/s.

No problem spotted in your tracert.

You misunderstood file transfer speed indicated at the browser for broadband speed.

File transfer speed is measured in kilobytes per second (KB/s) while broadband speed is measured in kilobits per second (kbps).

    1 KB/s = 8 kbps
    630 KB/s = 5040 kbps.
