I like Ron Paul a lot, but sadly he stands no chance.

Paul is the internet darling. The money he's raised in the last month is amazing.

Still I don't think a lot of his supporters are looking very deep into some of his stances. Either that, or they're willing to overlook it because of Paul's convictions on other issues that touch home.

    Good question...

The biggest are race and anti-Semitic issues he has. You don't read a lot about them yet because he's not a front runner but you can bet you'd hear a lot more about it if it looked like he had a chance in hell of gaining the Republican nomination.

Please post data re this. I have not yet seen anything re racism or anti-semitism and Paul.
No one has any right to force data on you
and command you to believe it or else.

This one little tidbit isn't going to help his run either.

I suppose one might make the offer that Paul was misquoted, or taken out of context on some of his statements but that still won't stop the press from running with them if it ever looked like he had a chance.

My apologies to the Paulbearers for posting this but since it was brought up.....

And once more, I do think that Paul has some very good ideas and that he certainly does seem to vote what he espouses.

I like how he answers questions, some things he'll come right out and say, that others would try to dodge to make them look more generic like all the others.

    DH,

Google hits do not tell the whole story. Dr. Paul walks a fine line.

Yeah I know. I read an interesting account the other day but can't seem to find it. More of an insider history.

Truth to tell, Nixon was quite antisemitic, it did not seem to effect his policies or his cabinet.

    That's true.

Given the nature of the media nowdays vs. then, coupled with the new information age, do you think he would or even could have been elected?

I do feel sorry in some ways for politicans nowdays. Every facet of their lives could be subject to a microscope. If that's not good enough, then just make stuff up.
